The Good Woman of Setzuan....

Is the title of the next production at Boonsboro High School. In case you didn't know, the play will be a corporate affair between Drama I and Drama II, III, IV, and V. It is being planned as a very abstract production, but as you know, these things tend to become more concrete with time. We'll see. Here is the schedule for the week.....
AUDITIONS: Tuesday, 3:40 in Mr. Bair's room
CALLBACKS: Wednesday, as necessary
ORIENTATION: Friday, 3:40-5:15, and I will announce the cast list here.
If you are interested in auditioning, I have two speeches that MUST be memorized. Please ask me for them, and I will happily provide you with them. Any questions?

i want to help as much as possible
I want to help in some way too. but I don't really want to audition.
sweet!! This is so exciting!
Any idea when the play will be?
mr bair i e-mailed you but my email is so strange sometimes. Can you let me know if you get it...
I have a student coming in Tuesdays until 4:30 for help with class. I will speak to him today and see if we can meet during lunch instead. If nothing else, the student and I could probably cut the time short this week and I could come to auditions a bit late (closer to 4).
I agreed to help with auditions before the arrangement was made with this student so I want to honor that committment but still give him as much help as possible. I will let you know what we decide on.
Already told Mr. Bair, but wanted to say that I will indeed be there on time tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing the old faces and meeting the new!
YAY!!! Miss Ford!!!
Is there anything going on next week that would require those of us who are not in the play to stay after school?
Oh my gosh! Bertolt Brecht! I'm not familiar with the play, but he is so amazing! He was the first dramatist to actually device verfremdungseffekt (the alienation effect). It's all about distancing the audience from the on-stage action emotionally. It's so intense. Wow! I have to see this play.
Oh yes, and, Hi everybody!
Mr. Bair, I must say this is a feat. You must have quite a group of actors.
