The Da Vinci Code

I finally read the book this summer. Oddly enough, it' s the only book I read this summer. This remodeling is killing my brain.

Anyway, it's a really good story. It was an interesting read, and it certainly captivated my attention. I would recommend it with caution.

The caustion comes in the form of the author declaring that his facts are indeed "facts." Michael Crichton is really good at using actual scientific facts to spin fiction. This guy uses a large amount of supposed "facts" to spin fiction. There's a major difference.

I, being a responsible reader, spent a large amount of time researching his "facts", and trust me, they are not facts. However, if you want to read some interesting fiction, then I would read the book. However, if you're afraid that someone is trying to brainwash you or transform your beliefs, you should stay away from it. Trust me....if this guy manages to brainwash you, it's time to check whether you have a brain!

P.S. I can't recommend it to you because of the language, but STATE OF FEAR, by Michael Crichton is my favorite read of the past year. It's a shame that he has taken the Hollywood approach to language and sexuality. None of it is necessary. The book does debunk the Global Warming Myth that I have always believed to be horse manure. When you get older....

I Was Thinking....

It might be necessary to start Cinematography as a club first, and then, allow it to grow into a class. That's how Drama began. In my first five years of teaching Drama, it was a club and not a class. As my club grew to about 80 or so individuals, they had no choice but to make it a class. Anyway, what do you think?

Out with the Old, in with the New

Well, for years, I have threatened to try finding a decent way to post information on the Internet. This is my new attempt. I didn't want a site where others could link banners, ads, etc. This seems like the safest and most public way of providing you with up to the minute updates. Anyway, let's see if this works. Let me know what you think.

I plan on providing you with Drama updates here. Once the school year starts, I will be more dutifuly. During productions, I can post the latests updates. That's it for now.
