RESPOND...
Today, we made some progress. It's always tough starting these things. I would love an update as to who is doing what so I know.
On a separate note, I see it happening today. I have that core group who knows what they want to do, and I have the other group who seems isolated from the process. That's what disturbs me. I'm not sure where I'm disturbed more, but it probably is more with those who have no idea as to what they want to do.
For a small bit of history, I tried this similar approach to Drama for an entire semester. OK...it was nearly the entire semester. It failed miserably for about 2/3 of the individuals. Why? Simply stated, some people just couldn't handle the freedom. There are people in this class who can attest to this. Yes?
Anyway, you're looking at it all wrong. This is a chance, an opportunity to do one thing very well. It's a chance to explore one thing. Don't overcomplicate that. It's really VERY MUCH A DREAM COME TRUE. As I said then, and as I say now, don't choke on freedom. It's a test for later in life.
It's possible that it's really a test for some of you. Have you changed from two years ago? Have you really grown? We'll see.

All of my positions are filled up, unless someone really really desires to be the ghetto boom mic holder. and Bair, if you didnt check the last post's comments, I found the thing you were talking about, and yes, it is indeed mine. I had completly forgotten about it. Email me at QOTSA7777@aol.com with an email adress I can get ahold of you to discuss it.
Yes, the more I think about it the more I think I'm just going to do this technical thing (Sorry, Eric.)
I am willing to work with any group as far as just sitting down for a day and working with a director or crew--advice, looking over everything for problems, and Im working on getting my hands on some nifty stuff. But I'd like to find a director who really needs me, so I can follow them around during filming, editing, and such to really focus on the details that will come out on film--like light and sound. I'm not an expert at everything, but Ill be focusing a lot more on certain aspects than a director. Well I suppose thats my sales pitch a little bit. Come talk to me!
Ana,
I would like the title of technical advisor. That way, you can help everyone on all aspects of tech. I know that Lori wants some tutoring. There are others. How is that?

i am acting in wills project, survivor walmart (if we do it!!), and maybe brennan's.... and, yeah.
if people need something like ghetto boom mike-ee and such, i could help with enough notice!
I am an actor in Chris's and Ryan's movies, and possibly in Ashley's and Brennan's as well. As of yet I have not had any requests for music, but as it is usually done late in the process, the offer still stands. I am willing to fill parts in other movies as well, so if you need anyone (even an extra) talk to me.
Thanks to everyone who shared their ideas,
Adam
PS - I, too, did not excell the last time we tried this approach. I will try my darndest to excell this time, because I believe I have remedied what was wrong the last time, and found my niche.
I'm acting for very obvious reasons to anyone who saw my horrible lets let Renata do pretty much everything except edit (thank you Devon) attempt. I'm involved with Ryan and possibly Kristen's movies and if anyone needs some random extra well I'm about...
Technical Advisor, I like that. Very professional, certainly has a nicer ring than Professionalism-er. I guess this means you'll have to look at EVERYONES project and see my mastery of all technological aspects of every movie now. YES!
Scott, you know where that gameshow host thing all started, right? Indiana Jones all the way.
Adam
Are there any actors out there who aren't already attached to two or three other projects? I still need a couple of actors for the really big roles in my movie (and the not so big ones). I'll spin it today.
I'M THE THIEF, sorry Ryan. I'm acting in Chris' film, mastering in acting. I think I'll also have a part in writing the script. Julia and Ashley, you guys can interview me. I'm also willing to be an extra in anyone else's movie, but I need to know WAY in advance (sorry)
I remember last time. I had great fun b/c Mr. Bair was nice and let me do an independent project of Shakespearean speeches and then that genius Scott Leverett gave me my favorite part of all time. I got to fight with light sabers and smack Jacob upside the head multiple times- how great is that? (I'm talking about the Indiana Jones movie and if you haven't seen it you MUST b/c I believe it is the only feature length film ever to come out of drama.)
As for Chris' movie we do need a lot of random bad guys/extras so if anyone's wandering around w/ nothing to do come see us!
ATTENTION- I have no life right now so if i can help with anything just let me know. Thanks- Beth
i would like to attempt to act...
go me and you if you wanna aid in my attempt
Scott, the Indy thing is what I was referring to as well. And it's a bit ironic that I acted like a gameshow host and played "The Entertainer." Anyway, do you think we could borrow your big black cloak for our film project?
Adam
Got a work light on a stand, and Ryans got a steadycam almost completely ready to go. Woo!
I just realized, I don't know if my group will have a camera with which to film since mine's on the fritz. Anyone got a camera lying around? Anyone at all?
I appreciate it, Scott, but aren't you due back in New York pretty soon?
Mr. Bair, don't bother bringing in extra cords and couplers for my boom mike. I went out to Radio Shack and bought myself an eigth inch cord. It should work quite handily with what I found in the bin today.
Scott, you're a lifesaver.
Yeah Scott, I've changed, haha...
Anyway, Bair, here's the update on Chris' film:
We have 3 of our 10 scenes shot. Even though they're the shortest 3 we're on schedule, as long as we can film in class all next week. We'll be pulling different random people each day for our extras. Lori will be editing the movie over the long weekend. That's the plan.
'sigh' Well, I did warn you.
Let's get one thing straight--Al Gore did not invent the internet. Al Gore never claimed to have invented the internet. What he did do was introduce legislation that eventually provided funding to make the technology of the internet--which up till that time was purely military--available to the public. So were it not for Al Gore, we might not have this lovely spot to bicker on. For more on this subject, read "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them--A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right" by Al Franken. I'll give you five bucks if you can find a single lie on Franken's part.
