SHOPPING WOES

Hello,

I went shopping at Wal-Mart Hades. Geez....why did I go to Wal-Mart on a Friday night???? Anyway, after surviving the five open checkout lanes with 10,000 people in line, I bought the following articles:

1. Ten gallons of white paint.
2. 50 hangers
3. Goof Off and Goo Gone
4. Febreez
5. Dusters

The rest of the list was indecipherable. If you want plastic bins or drawers, I need more information. That's way to vague. Why do you want them? What size? How many drawers? I did the best I could. I'll go again.

Now, is there anyone interested in doing some painting on the back wall? We need to fix that wall. It's really very unsightly. We could do it after school fairly quickly if anyone wants to volunteer.

Finally, don't forget the children's books for Monday. As I said, speak to me if you don't have any. No one spoke to me, so I expect everyone to bring some. If you still have a problem, e-mail me. What else is on your mind?

MjB

P.S. Make sure you speak to all second semester Drama students about "Murder is Fun!"

Uhhhh, let's keep in mind that we have to get publisher's rights first, everybody!

And I can help paint after school! Am I required to directly participate in puppet shows or may I delve into another realm?

Beth, absolutely talk to me.

"Murder is Fun!" is Julia's production. It is not Drama's main production, so Chris was right and wrong. It will be presented for the public, most likely, on October 19th, but I'm not stuck with that date. The rest is up to Julia, but as far as I'm concerned, anyone can audition. Julia must secure rights first. OK?

I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with it, and I’m also sure you will do a much better job then I did. You will do a great job.

Congrats, Ryan, with a T. Also, while I have your attention, I seem to have misplaced a small caribbean island. Would you happen to know where I might find it?

My Daily Recap

Today we got into groups and started writing scripts.

Ah. Puppet shows. Good times. Is anyone doing Seuss this year?

11:24 PM
Blogger monkeyshine89 said...

Not that I know of! I'd love to do Dr.Suess, but alas, our group isn't doing it. But I love our story, it's so sweet :). Mr.Bair, I was thinking like those college dorm type dressers, although you mentioned something in class about regular dressers from a yard sale, which is just as good, if not better. I have a shoe rack type thing that goes over a closet door, My dad gave it to me, and I really hate it, so I asked him if I could donate it to the prop room, he said yes, so would it be acceptable to take it down to the prop room tomorrow? Also, I need to know whether I could take it to your room in the morning, it would be awkward carrying that stupid thing from class to class.

SCOTT!!! you have a website for Even of Battle?!!?

Not yet, Mandy, but I'm considering making one. For this project, I need to have a picture with areas that link to other pictures (webpage with an imagemap, for those of you who want techo-babble), so I thought I'd take the Eve of Battle Map, make the names of the countries the links, and then have pictures of the rulers of each.
At this point, I think that's all I'll do, but later on, just for fun I thought I might make a page with some of the unwritten stuff that was never in the movie.
Did you ever get to see Eve of Battle?
Adam is still in the middle of writing the music, I got to listen to some of it a couple of days ago. It sounds really good so far.

Chris,

Eve of Battle was our summer project in 2006. The concept was to show what would someone be doing the day before battle. It's still not finished, but we screened as much as we had at the film festival last year.

Mr. Bair,
A few funny things for you.

One- I was at CMU's sophomore brunch where basically we're supposed to start formally meeting technical recruiters and stuff like that so there's all these big name companies and government organizations there and the keynote speaker gets up and announces the score of the Steelers game that was going on while we were at the brunch. I thought that was funny.

Two- Everybody is so nice here! People just randomly say hi to you if you're walking down the street. I think I mentioned this to you last year, but I'm just astounded by how nice Pittsburgh people are.

Three- Happen to know where any fish markets are? My lab project for the semester is analyzing the methylmercury content in fish tissues and I'm going to need copious amounts of fish.
